Your Daily Warning That

Halloween Is Coming

That pointed hat reminds us: have you got your costume ready?

A row of Halloween tokens on an outdoor ledge: An orange-and-black witch's hat, some goblins, and a ghost on a tombstone.

Eastern Coyotes get bigger because they don't waste their time, resources, and calories chasing roadrunners.

Hamburg: Warehouse District

by Tavaron da Quirm

As I mentioned, Hamburg has been an important city for trading for a long time. There's a large number of old brick warehouses lined up along the canals. Some of these canals get empty and muddy during low tide. The warehouses are mostly used for other things nowadays: some house museums and the like. The modern cargo ships don't enter the city anymore but use the modern container harbour at the other side of the river Elbe.
