Sunset in Wales

Pretty spectacular: also full of history

Those are the two 400(?)-year-old yew trees in my garden. The first floor of the cottage with its three-foot-thick stone walls dates back to the mid-18th century, but the plot of land here in its triangle at the meeting of old drover roads is much older than that. I learned why it is a triangle when I did some research this summer finally: it was to avoid sheep and cow jams when they were going north or south along the valley! The National Cycle Route that goes by the cottage is No 42.

Two enormous green-canopied trees, between which can be seen green fields and a spectacular red sunset.

Quote of the Day

So much could be understood so much better if we just accept that there are a lot of people who do not understand basic words in their own first language.
Shiv Ramdas

May your days be filled with (nice) October surprises,
